Tabares
One of the best free climbing areas of the Canary Island with shadows at the “Enfrente” wall and the afternoon of the “Macrocalma” wall.
Tabares offers a total of 110 routes that are traditionally secured.
Vistamar
In the small climbing area at Vistamar, there are 35 sports trails, which offer a spectacular backdrop with a view of the sea in the north of Tenerife. Afternoon in the sun.
Martiánez
The small area Martiánez is located in Puerto de la Cruz. There are 34 short routes with boulder trains available. On sunny afternoons very warm and in winter on most days in the shade.
San Marcos
San Marcos offers 45 climbing routes up to 25 m high, which are very finger-loaded. Warm on sunny afternoons and most winter days in the shade.
La Martela
In La Martela there are 40 sports trails, which also offer traditional climbing. Supposedly the upper area is suitable for beginners, so we made ourselves a picture of it and are here rather disagree. Much conglomerated because hardly there is climbed and the area is difficult to reach (dangerous access).
Most routes are in the area 6a or lower, the hook distances are however rather not so prickling.
In the lower section there are longer routes over 20 m, which are heavier and have to be traditionally secured.
Boulder are also available.
Roques de García
Most of the 50 routes are traditionally secured. If you are interested in multi-lenghts, you will find exactly your climbing area here. Very many tours are already older and need appropriate equipment for self-assurance. For this you climb in a breathtaking area.
Climbing areas in Tenerife as an insider tip
Tenerife is one of the most underrated and still unknown climbing areas in Europe. The Canary Island offers a great variety of routes and climbing is possible all year round.
